Two other cute photos to share. I couldn’t get a good shot of Joe in a hat face-on, but I did manage a shot of his back. Does he look Yosemite Sam? Also, Pops in a hat- does she look cute or what?
The gift of experience
Poppy and Joe had a chocolate mousse each. Poppy is now quite used to using a spoon to eat and was able to land most of the mousse into her mouth, with little spillage. Joe on the other hand is still used to someone feeding him, and doesn’t have to experience yet of feeding himself. After a good start, Joe gave up with the spoon, and found it easier to put his whole hand into to pot, then try to eat it off his hand.

Could this be the hottest day of the summer?
Today, in Edinburgh, the weather was fantastic. I’ve been in shorts all day, and coated in factor 30 sun cream. Poppy was out early with Deird, painting in the garden. After a morning of swimming, the afternoon was spent in the garden, helping with the gardening. It was almost too hot to sit in the sun. Am I still in Scotland?Â

Aberdour Beach
Today we took Poppy & Joe to the Beach. The weather was great, and we found a really good beach to go to. Silver Sands at Aberdour.
I expected it to be colder, so we all went wrapped up well. The weather report said it would be 10c, however, the beach was really well sheltered, and in the sun. When we arrived I felt a little overdressed in my coat, when the family next to us was in t-shirts.
We:
- Paddled in the sea.
- Explored rock-pools
- Tried to fly a kite
- Built sand-castles
- Ate Sandwiches with real sand in
- Dug holes in the sand
- Ate ice cream Â
Ah, a proper day at the beach. I’ve still got sand in my hair.
